A 15 inch version of the Apple Macbook Air is expected to arrive soon, probably during April 2012.

The 11 and 13-inch versions have been a terrific hit with Apple fans as they are not only very portable but also surprisingly fast and capable. This leaves the Macbook Pro in a difficult position and only an obvious choice for those with extreme needs for processing power – such as video production.

By summer 2012 we should be able to see how Apple are going to reconfigure their notebook offers. My guess is that slim is here to stay and that the Macbook Air form will soon be applied to the Macbook Pro too.
